Competent Authority under Right to information Act

Under the Right to Information Act, 2005 Deputy Secretaries of the two Wings of the Departments i.e. Law (A) and Law (B) have been declared as the P.I.O./ Competent Authority to entertain and dispose of all the applications made under the Act.

Anyone seeking information under the Act can do so by making a payment of Rs. 10/- to the P.I.O. of concerned branch and upon that file the application alongwith the cash/ I.P.O. receipt to the concerned P.I.O. who will process the application and cause the same to be laid down before the Competent Authority for final disposal. All kind of forms as per the Act are available with the Superintendent and can be obtained from them on written request.
